Founded by Dr. Vinod Bhandari, Chancellor of SAIMS Indore, Matra Sparsh is a tribute to his beloved mother, Smt. Usha Bhandari. Her nurturing nature and quiet strength inspired a space where children with developmental needs are welcomed, understood, and celebrated.
A tribute to a mother whose life and legacy continue to inspire generations.
Smt. Usha Bhandari was not just a mother, she was a teacher in the truest sense. Her lessons extended beyond classrooms and textbooks; they were lessons in resilience, sacrifice, and unwavering vision.
She dreamt of her son becoming a doctor so he could serve humanity. Through every challenge, she stood strong, and through her determination, her dream came true. Her son, Dr. Vinod Bhandari, not only became a doctor but went on to establish Central India’s largest medical institution, SAIMS, a living embodiment of her vision.
Even in her final act, she chose to serve. She donated her body to the very institution her son built, ensuring that future doctors would learn with reverence, humility, and compassion.
Today, as medical students take the Cadaveric Oath in the dissection hall, her silent teachings echo—reminding us that the noblest form of education is that which is given selflessly.
In her loving memory, Dr. Vinod Bhandari is now establishing a school for children with special needs Matra Sparsh to extend her compassion to the most deserving and overlooked.
Her legacy lives on—not just in the institution, or in her son’s achievements, but in every life touched by the doctors and children she continues to guide and inspire.
Mamta Sparsh envisions an inclusive society where children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Intellectual Developmental Disorder (IDD), and Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) are celebrated for their uniqueness and nurtured for their strengths. Founded in loving memory of Smt. Usha Bhandari, our vision is to empower each child with the tools, care, and confidence they need to thrive academically, emotionally, and socially—and to reintegrate into everyday life with dignity and independence.
At Mamta Sparsh, our mission is to provide individualized, evidence-based education and therapeutic support to children with special needs. We develop personalized learning plans (IEPs) through the collaborative expertise of special educators, pediatric neurologists, child psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, and therapists in speech, occupational, and physical domains. Our goal is to foster self-reliance, social integration, and vocational readiness, nurturing each child’s full potential in a warm, structured, and respectful environment.
